Kongres AS, Rabu (Kamis WIB) menyatakan rasa cemasnya tentara AS terus menjadi sasaran penembakan gelap di Irak, meski rezim Saddam Hussein telah digulingkan.
Ketua Komisi Angkatan Bersenjata DPR-AS, Duncan Hunter, mengatakan walau militer AS telah secara gemilang mengalahkan dua "rezim teroris" dalam waktu singkat berturut-turut, namun perkembangan di Afghanistan dan Irak menunjukkan jalan masih panjang di kedua negara itu.
