Kepala Badan Nasional Penempatan dan Perlindungan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (BNP2TKI) Jumhur Hidayat mengatakan, Indonesia terlambat dibanding Filipina dalam mengantisipasi peluang kerja di luar negeri.
"Kita terjebak pada paradigma makan nggak makan asal kumpul sedangkan Filipina kumpul nggak kumpul asal makan," katanya pada kuliah umum di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa di Cilegon, Banten, Selasa (9/9), dalam mengawali Safari Ramadan, 9-19 September 2008.
